Defend Public Education in New Hampshire

Stand up for New Hampshire’s public schools that are increasingly under attack!

This legislative session New Hampshire’s public schools were threatened by SB-193, which was called the most dangerous school voucher bill in the nation.  The bill would have siphoned millions of taxpayer dollars from local school districts and given to parents to pay for private and religious schools or to homeschool. A sustained, public outcry defeated this bill and protected public schools ... for now. We know the opponents of strong public schools will be back!

Volunteer with Rights & Democracy to protect and improve public education during the current midterm election season.

SIGN ON IN SUPPORT!

We—parents, taxpayers, and supporters of public education—urge state legislators and Gov. Chris Sununu to uphold these basic principles:

✓ Every child, regardless of their income level, zip code, race, or ability deserves a quality education, as a right not a privilege.

New Hampshire should invest in our public schools to build strong communities and our future leaders.

We will protect our public schools from being dismantled at the federal and state levels and work to provide all students with a quality public education.

Every child deserves a quality education and equal opportunities, regardless of the town they live in. Children are our future from the small towns to the larger cities. When we invest in all of them equally, we help them establish stability in a hometown, a sense of accomplishment and a brighter future for themselves, their families, and in our communities.

A child’s zipcode is the best predictor of their success later in life. This needs to change! Equal opportunity should be available to all children, regardless of where they go to school.
